Sumberkima is a seaside village next to Pemuteran and close to Menjangan Island. It has diverse, beautiful scenery. Here you can truly relax, away from the overcrowded southern part of the island. This area offers the best diving and snorkeling in Bali.

The other side of Bali

Sumberkima is in the north west of Bali, close to Barat National Park and Menjangan Island. Gilimanuk, the port to Java is 30 km to the west. This part of Bali is still unspoiled by mass tourism and you will experience more of the real Bali. From this area Hinduism spread all over Bali. You will find some of the oldest and most important temples here.The coastline has several beautiful bays with large areas of shallow reefs. A wonderful climate, all year

The average daily temperature is 29 C (84 F) and the water temperature is around 28 C (82 F). Along the coast there is always a nice cool breeze. The dry season lasts from April to October and the rainy season from the end of November to March. Sumberkima has less rainfall then other parts in Bali.

How to get there

To reach Sumberkima by public transport is a bit of a challenge. It is easier to organize a car and driver to pick you up at the airport or your hotel and drive you to Sumberkima. Cost for an airport pick up is around RP 800.000,- for a car suitable for 4 passengers and luggage. This is a scenic 3,5 tour through some of the most interesting landscapes in Bali. If you come from the south there are several options. The route through Munduk will take you past the lakes in the mountains and the route through Pupuan will show you amazing rice terrace panoramas.
